You can make bagels without a food processor, I hear. But if you have one, do what I do: use the food processor. It's very easy: 3½ cups of flour, two teaspoons of salt, a teaspoon of yeast, and two tablespoons of sweetener. I am ostentatiously using honey here because a significant percentage of my readers are beekeepers. Do not tell the bees (maybe I could try to not* mention a different insect on every page!) but this yeast does not care what you give it, so sugar or molasses is fine if you happen to be out of honey.
